Take on the role of Iowa Jack - adventurer, tomb raider and pilot for hire - and head off in search of a legendary treasure in this old school text adventure game.

Use simple two word commands like “GET SHOVEL” or “USE WHIP”. Type HELP at any time for a list of verbs.

This is a nice adventure in that there are no deaths or dead ends (soft locks). This is an easy game overall, so it’s perfect for newcomers to the genre, or advanced players who want a quick adventure break.

I just finished the game and I have to say I enjoyed it far more than I expected to! The art is great and provides a nice balance to the text. I really dug the intermission too..pretty funny and totally unexpected.

I played on a real C64 (NTSC) + SD2IEC with zero issues.

Great job!

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it! I had beta testers test it on real hardware (both NTSC and PAL) to ensure that it would work fine. I'm glad you enjoyed the intermission part. For that I was inspired by the Cinemaware games and Quest for Glory II (which also has an intermission scene).

Greetings Binary Legends,

Thanks for this fun little adventure!  Some of my thoughts about the game can be found at: https://c64forum.com/showthread.php?tid=359

You just keep getting better with each of your releases.  Looking forward to your next adventure.

Thanks! I'm glad that you enjoyed it! :-D

Good game, i would like to play more and see how the story goes. I also added it to my new "Gameplay of New C64 Games from June 2024" video.

Thanks for adding it your video! :-)

Another good job! :) https://c64universe.wordpress.com/2024/06/30/iowa-jack-and-the-crystals-of-chaos...

Cool game. I managed to finish chapter 1 in about 10 minutes. Let's go for chapter 2, now :)

Just finished it. I get some help from the walkthrough. I forgot to get the banana for the monkey.

Chapter 3 maze is the hardest part of the game for me. An hour and half to finish it, it is a good deal!

Thanks Fred for the help - spoilers!

:-D

You're welcome :D

I'm glad that you enjoyed it! It's hard to design a game that's not too easy but not too difficult as well.

I enjoyed it... I do love the intermission part, it makes me laugh.

Glad you liked the intermission part. I've always loved the Cinemaware games (games as movies) so I put that in there.
